What is Prefix Servers?

We will offer safe and reliable route server functionality on the AMS-IX Peering LAN. This means that any prefixes you announce towards us, will be re-announced to the other route server participants. Through RPSL and BGP communities you will have full control over the prefixes.

How are your route servers different from the AMS-IX ones?

Compared to the AMS-IX route servers, we aim to add a friendly web interface to administer everything, support for 4-byte AS numbers and extensive control and filtering through RPSL. We also run BIRD, instead of OpenBGPd. Just to be clear: we have no association with the AMS-IX route servers.

What is the current status?

We are currently in the progress of setting up the systems and thus are not yet ready to accept peering sessions. We aim to launch in Q2 2012.
